Todt Hill is a neighborhood in Staten Island, NY, and is one of Staten Island’s more affluent neighborhoods. It is bounded by Raritan Bay, Richmond Road, Cornelia Avenue, and Rockland Avenue.
The neighborhood is named after Wilhelm Todt, a prominent engineer and senior Nazi Party official during World War II.
Todt Hill has been one of the most successful residential areas on Staten Island. It became an enclave for wealthy American businesspeople residing in New York City just across the Narrows from their Staten Island estates. The neighborhood was originally built to accommodate the wealthy families in New York City who wished to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Todt Hill offers a quiet, peaceful existence for its residents, many being employed in midtown Manhattan or Wall Street.
Todt Hill is served by one school district: Port Richmond. It contains two elementary schools and one middle school.
Todt Hill homes typically have large backyards with lots of flora and fauna. Many homes also have a view of Raritan Bay.
The population of Todt Hill is mainly Caucasian, with a small number of Hispanic and Asian residents.

The community is served by the Todt Hill library; it is located at 310 Westwood Avenue. The architect was Alfred Hopkinson, who also designed many homes in this neighborhood.
The neighborhood also has two churches to which many residents are members: St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church and St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
There are several historical sites in Todt Hill, including the Old Quaker Meeting House which was built during 1698-1725; it is now a city landmark. The Old Stone House was also built during this time period; it is now a restaurant.
Todt Hill has many shops and restaurants including Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, J & G Pizza Parlor & Restaurant, and Papa John’s Pizza. There is also a 16-screen movie theater in the area called Regal Cinemas.
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has a home in Todt Hill.
Todt Hill is famous for its golf course, which is located in the center of Staten Island. It also has a shooting club and a yacht club.
